09.06.2025
Logian and TKU-Rakennus Oy have entered into an agreement under which Logian will purchase a logistics and production property of approximately 15,000 sqm, developed by TKU-Rakennus Oy, in the Leilimaa area of Raisio, along the Turku bypass road. Construction on the property will commence immediately, with completion scheduled for summer 2026. The entire property has been leased under a long-term rental agreement to a large international company in the electrical and automation industry.
“This marks Logian’s first project in the Turku region and it strengthens our strategy-driven growth. Logian aims to support its’ customers’ growth in a sustainable way, where location and a developing operating environment meet long-term needs,” says Ilmo Jäntti, CEO of Mrec Investment Management Oy.
“We are very pleased that this project, which we have been developing for a long time, is now becoming a reality and that we can begin construction. Cooperation with the City of Raisio has been extremely productive and we’ve shared the same goals in getting the project underway. TKU-Rakennus Oy has solid experience in demanding commercial building projects, and this development combines high-quality construction, responsibility, and solutions that support the customer’s business,” says Veli-Matti Otava, Director of Finance and Project Development and Partner at TKU-Rakennus Oy.
“The decision by a major international operator to establish in Raisio further strengthens the city’s position as one of the region’s key business-friendly and attractive locations. This investment decision is great news for both Raisio and the entire Southwest Finland region. In addition to the city’s own investments—such as school and daycare center projects and the E18 highway renovation—Raisio is seeing significant growth driven by private sector investment decisions, both realized and still in planning,” says Eero Vainio, Mayor of Raisio.
The new logistics and production property will be built in line with Logian’s concept, emphasizing sustainable development principles. The project aims to achieve at least a BREEAM Excellent environmental certification. Additionally, upon completion, the property will meet the criteria for energy class A and comply with the EU Taxonomy requirements.
