Logian acquired a property in Espoo’s Juvanmalmi earlier this year to strengthen its position as a leading logistics property developer in the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Kuusakoski Oy has signed a long-term lease agreement for a property owned by Logian at Juvan Teollisuuskatu 17. The company intends to open a new service point at the location. Kuusakoski is a Finnish circular economy pioneer that provides recycling services to both businesses and the public sector. The company specializes in metal recycling, utilization of industrial side streams, and the secure, data-safe processing of electrical and electronic equipment at the end of their lifecycle. In Finland, Kuusakoski serves 20 locations.

“Investment in new premises is part of our long-term work to advance the circular economy. The logistically excellent location enhances our operations and enables optimization of material flows, which is essential for responsible business operations and continuous service development,” comments Tapio Kuusakoski, Business Director, WEEE, from Kuusakoski Oy.

For Logian, the project represents activity aligned with its strategy by providing flexibly adaptable properties to companies that value excellent logistics connections combined with proximity to the Helsinki metropolitan area. “We are pleased to provide premises for the over century-old Kuusakoski, whose pioneering product development and technological expertise are recognized throughout the industry. The long-term lease agreement demonstrates the success of our strategy – we provide flexible solutions to companies that value strategic partnerships and collaborative approaches,” states Väinö Mettiäinen, Asset Manager, from Mrec Investment Management Oy.
